FAQs

Whether you’ve attended many virtual conferences before or this is your first one, you might have some questions about how it works. Here are your answers.

Where does Learning • Technology • Design 2018 take place?

LTD 2018 takes place entirely online. Travel is not required for you to participate. All sessions will be accessed via the Internet.

Who should participate?

Learning • Technology • Design is for anyone who works in the business of lifelong learning, continuing education, and professional development and who wants to find better ways to engage learners and create lasting impact through the effective use of technology. The content is most suited for individuals at an intermediate to advanced level of knowledge when it comes to the use of technology to enable and enhance learning. While we do not necessarily discourage beginners from purchasing access to the recordings, we did not cover basic terminology (e.g., learning content management system or SCORM) or concepts (e.g., hybrid events or blended learning) during the sessions.

What types of sessions are included?

Learning • Technology • Design includes in-depth workshops, shorter clinics, and priming and synthesis sessions. Sessions are held consecutively to allow you to attend and participate in them all live online. All live online sessions will be recorded, and the recordings from Learning • Technology • Design 2018 will be available to registrants through May 31, 2018. See the Program section of the site for more information about the topics covered in the sessions.

What are the registration options?

You may purchase an individual registration or an organizational registration.

  • Individual registration provides access for one person to participate in Learning • Technology • Design 2018.
  • An organizational registration provides access for up to five people at the same organization to participate in Learning • Technology • Design 2018.

What if I cannot attend all of the live conference events? Will I be able to view the session(s) at another time?

Yes, all sessions will be recorded and available following the live event (within two weeks). Recorded sessions will include slides, handouts, and any other presentation materials provided in the live session. Recorded sessions will be available to view an unlimited number of times until May 31, 2018.

What is the refund policy?

While no refunds are available for Learning • Technology • Design, you may transfer your registration to another individual. And, remember that even if you can’t participate in the live sessions during February 2018, you can access recordings.

Will I receive written confirmation of my registration?

Yes, registrants receive an e-mail confirmation shortly after registration. To ensure you receive e-mails about LTD, please make sure that tagoras.com is added to your address book, safe sender list, or whitelist.

If I purchase registration for my organization, how do my colleagues get access?

We will follow up within two business days of your purchase of an organizational registration with details for how up to four of your colleagues can register themselves (at no additional charge) for access to LTD.

I purchased an individual registration but would like to convert that to an organizational registration. Is that possible?

Yes, if you contact us by January 25, 2018—and the sooner the better—we’ll work out details for collecting the additional funds and getting access for up to four of your colleagues.

How far ahead of time should I log in to a session?

Is this conference eligible for CAE credit?

Tagoras, the host of Learning • Technology • Design, is a CAE Approved Provider (www.whatiscae.org), and participation in the live online sessions that are part of Learning • Technology • Design can be used to fulfill the professional development requirements to earn or maintain the Certified Association Executive credential. Please note that viewing the recordings is not eligible for CAE credit.
